What a long overdue post! The past few weeks have been hectic with moving house and beginning a new full time job, but everything is finally beginning to settle into a neat routine.
We moved house last weekend and am absolutely loving our new neighborhood. We now call Brunswick home, just off Lygon St, in a two bedroom delightful house with room for a studio, a big backyard for Busby and space to finally ship down all my Art Deco and Edwardian furniture from back home in Queensland (I’ve lived in Melbourne for 4 and a half years so needless to say I am SO ecstatic).
I’ve also just finished my first week at my new job in e-commerce, and it’s been a huge adjustment after my years in retail but a welcome and exciting one. I basically now work with my best friend, Charlotte, all day and am truly on the path to fulfilling my goal of morphing into the enigma that is Joan Holloway.
Working 9-5 has given me a new found appreciation of the weekends, and Jesse and I took these snaps as we pottered around the streets of Brunswick, hitting up the juicy new cafes in the area, visiting local antique stores and swooning over each and every house on the street. Our new hood is rife with Art Deco realness, I am actually in heaven!
We’re still living partly out of boxes and bags, but I will have a little post up soon with piccies of our new abode, and I can’t wait to share them with ya.
